Insurance Claim Advocacy
The half of a storm roof nobody warns you about. Damage assessment, the claim itself, and the argument when the first scope comes back light.
What it covers
The half of a storm roof nobody warns you about. Damage assessment, the claim itself, and the argument when the first scope comes back light — Dakota has been doing claims as long as they have been doing roofs.

The number nobody argues with
These are Dakota's own figures about their own claims work, printed as theirs. Read them as their argument for why the claim is half the job.
By Dakota's own count
55% of the actual damage is what carriers typically pay on that first check.
The rest is the argument. That argument is the job.

In their customers' words
I had recent medical issues, my storm claim was so small, and I had a huge deductible. I could not get anyone to even call me back. They helped me get my roof beautiful and they barely covered cost. I really appreciate what they did.
I was selling my home and my damage was old, they worked to get most of it covered and helped me get it sold.
Who you're dealing with
At Home and During Desert Storm. Local to Sioux Falls since the early 1990s, in roofing since 2013 and full general contractors since 2016.
In Dakota's own words: “Licensed, bonded, and carrying $2M+ in general liability plus workers' compensation.”
Carriers Dakota says they've worked claims with
Working with a carrier is not an endorsement by that carrier.
Questions
Do you handle the insurance claim, or just the roof?
Both, and the claim is the point. Dakota handles damage assessment, files and advocates the claim, and manages the storm recovery across every trade the storm touched. Dakota states that more than 90% of claims get modified from the carrier's first scope, and that carriers typically pay only about 55% of the actual damage on that first check.
Are you licensed and insured?
Dakota states they are licensed, bonded, and carry $2M+ in general liability along with workers' compensation, and that they have worked claims with State Farm, Nationwide, USAA, Auto-Owners, AAA, Farm Bureau and Farmers.
What areas do you serve?
Sioux Falls, Brandon, Harrisburg, Tea, Dakota Dunes, Brookings, Garretson, and North and South Sioux City — up to a 100-mile radius.
